DJ TIO

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Luis “Tio” Colon discovered his passion for DJing while practicing on a friend’s Pioneer Technics 1200 turntables. In the 1980s, he traveled frequently to New York, bringing home crates of vinyl to hone his craft and develop his unique style.

After relocating to Orlando, Florida, Tio began performing at private events—including birthdays, weddings, and Sweet 16s—using his laptop to deliver high-quality, professional mixes. His love for Freestyle, Old School Hip-Hop, and R&B grew even stronger in 2021, thanks to his niece and nephew introducing him to new inspirations.

In 2022, Tio brought his skills online, performing on Groove Sensation Radio, where his talent caught the attention of Mr. Al Perez, founder of Veteran Squad Radio. Today, he broadcasts live from Pennsylvania every Sunday from 6–8 PM EST, delivering a dynamic mix of music to audiences around the world.
